You never know. Paying it forward comes back.
This morning I went to Bojangles Chicken and Biscuits to get a couple biscuits for the wife and I. Nothing unusual about that. I pulled up to the window and presented my V.A. card to get the discount. The woman at the window said, "Thank you for your service, the guy in front of you paid for your meal." I have never had that happen. I thanked her for recognizing I was a Veteran. The guy in front was long gone so I didn't get a chance to say thank you to him.
After I drove away I remembered that a few years back I was at a McDonalds one Saturday morning and this woman with three children was there and she was trying to figure out how much each child could get with the change (no dollar bills) she had when I told the children to order what they wanted. Then I told her to order. The cashier rang it up, I paid, and got my order told her and the kids to have a great day and I left. I never really gave it much thought until today!

I have had this happen to me a time or two, I might not have paid for someone else's meals, but I did free labor for some people that I knew didn't have the money to pay for the service brother Cpl Vic Burk
