This is an opinion from DOJ. Don't run down to the Post Office just yet.
"As of January 2026, the law remains on the books, but the DOJ’s non-enforcement shifts practical reality. Congress could repeal or amend § 1715 (as proposed in bills like H.R. 3033), or courts may weigh in via Shreve. For now, this OLC opinion, binding within the executive, signals a bold executive reinterpretation of gun rights in the Bruen era."

I think this is gonna have to have Congress change this with Trumps signature. However, it's a great start!

I'm not sure that the DOJ can declare a law Unconstitutional. That's normally the judicial branch that handles that sort of adjudication. Anybody have any solid information on that?

They're ignoring the law the way the previous administration ignored immigration law. Ultimately, yes, Congress will have to change the law or SCOTUS will have to strike it down.

SGT (Join to see) this will be interesting. I took a picture of a SAAR semi automatic shotgun. I thought my phone would explode. My text editor went nuts. I was later told it was illegal to text pictures of weapons.
