My wife doesn't make her famous pies, cakes, or shortbread very often. Usually just a few times a year. Strawberry Shortcake, well, she hasn't made that in a few years. The grandkids prefer strawberry crepes instead. But since she was representing American Deserts to those folks from Belize visiting my Daughter and Son-in-Law, well...nobody wants an International Incident. She hasn't lost her touch and the Belize folks had never tasted Strawberry Shortcake. It took all their willpower to leave one piece for Kathy to bring home to me.
And as I pointed out earlier, the Irony is, I sat and ate my Strawberry Shortcake while reading over the materials for my MOVE program - which starts in a few weeks. The thought : "I wonder why I am fat?" Did wander in out of my head. But I couldn't hear it over the sounds of me telling Kathy: "This is delicious! Maybe your best batch ever!"
As Bill Murray once said in the Movie:" Groundhog Day": "I have a problem...I may have a problem." LOL
