More : "Out of the mouth of Babes."
I went up to FoodLion to grab some things to make supper. I was in the produce section when a little girl tugged on my jacket. I looked down. She was smiling.
"Are you Santa without your uniform?"
"What makes you think that?"
"You have skinny legs and a big belly...and a nice smile."
I must have turned beet red. I saw her Mother cover her mouth. And I know she was stifling a laugh.
I laughed.
"No young Lady I am not Santa...but, I am one of his helpers!"
"Oh Goody. Can you tell him I don't need a new dolly. I just want my old dolly to have a nicer dress."
With a voice loud enough for her Mom to hear, I took out my pen (I always carry one in my glasses case), and I wrote on a little receipt I had in my wallet.
"New dress for old dolly. Got it."
And the little girl said: "Thank You."
And wandered back to her Mom
Next year I will lose weight. I promise.

Yeah, I have been on steroids for almost two months straight...so that came with a 22 pound weight gain, and the stereotypical "Moon Face"...so I guess I do look like Santa now. But the skinny legs? Where did that come from? LOL
