Cpl Vic Burk - Yeah...if we only paid Teachers like the do in Finland, we could have Teachers who don't have to decide to living on the edge of poverty all the time, or find a higher paying job. For me, I would love for folks who love their job, have the talent, and have the smarts for it, to go to College free...and get out there and Teach. Whether it be Medical School, Education, or Engineering...you got the grades, you go. No quotas. Get people out there who just flat out like doing what they do! And pay them enough that their needs are met. I know teachers who would work for free (like you!) and I know teachers who aren't teaching because they have to feed a family. And Teachers don't need much most times. Bills covered and enough to go out once in a while, and they are fine.

SGT Kevin Hughes - It helps that I have zero debt to worry about. I'd hate to have to make it on teacher pay with a mortgage and one or two car payments plus raising a family. That would be a real struggle.

Just set an alarm for the day you have to return...LOL!

Maj Joan Marine - Alarms don't do me any good! I'm up at 0530 or before every morning, even on days off of school most of the time without the alarm. Sleeping until 0600 hours is sleeping in for me!
