Good news...there is no reason to punish the children for things their parents did illegally bringing them here. Give them a chance to work towards citizenship.

Cpl Tou Lee Yang - That is the wall, and if the economy gets started and the USMCA does what it is supposed to we save a bit of money. Enough to pay for the wall many times over. From a report by the the International Trade Commission: The ITC analysis shows that USMCA will increase U.S. employment by 176,000 jobs and is projected to increase GDP by $65.2 billion (0.35 percent). ... As a result of the Agreement, we will have stronger growth, more exports, more jobs, and rising higher wages – fulfilling the President's promise to the American people.

So.....

I didn't say it did. I am saying that a pretty effective argument could be made that renegotiating NAFTA to the USMCA does in effect make Mexico pay. I have no dog in this fight one way or another, just telling you the logical argument.

By the way the line about "fulfilling the President' promise to the American people" came directly from the ITC.

The SCOTUS appears to have agreed with lower courts, the government needs to have a justification for the policy change and that justification cannot be arbitrary or capricious.

Chief Justice Roberts again sided with the Washington establishment. He is working to keep "his court" in line with the prevailing opinion of Washington elites who hate President Trump. Trump's original executive order was intended to put pressure on the Democrats in Congress to work with his administration to achieve real immigration reform. The liberals managed to tie the executive order up in court. The Roberts' court ruled on a procedural issue blocking implementation of the executive order. This did nothing to advance the cause of immigration reform or to cause the Congress to step up to their responsibility of writing good immigration law. It let Congress off the hook and allows the Administration to try again with a revised executive order. Such executive order probably won't appear until President Trump's second term due to timing. The Court enhanced the opportunity for Republicans to bring immigration to the forefront of the November political races. Any real hope of immigration reform that respects the rights of American Citizens, especially minority Citizens, lies in election of a Republican majority in the House and Senate. Election of Democrat majorities in both houses of Congress and the White House will lead to immigration reform in a way the grants Citizenship to every illegal immigrant currently in the US while weakening the Border Patrol and defunding "the wall." The Dems plan is that all these new Citizens will be so grateful that they will vote Democrat for generations like the African-American voters have.

Well stated Sir. I will add, if President Obama could write the DACA EO then President Trump should be able to delete it.
