More from: "Out of the Mouth of Babes:" Snowmageddon prep.
So my grandson has made a small pond in his backyard to make an ice hockey rink to play "pond hockey." 20 feet circle...should be enough.
His Sister roped him to helping him fill dozens of paper plates with food colored water to make "stained Glass Windows" for her Snow fort. See picture.
She is hoping to make the world's most beautiful snow fort tomorrow. So far we have almost an inch of snow. If it keeps up...she might have enough by morning to actually make a small snow fort.
I have never seen a snow fort with brightly colored ice windows...so I am pretty stoked to see what she comes up with. If it gets built, I shall post an update with picture. but even just all the plates with a thin layer of frozen colored ice is pretty cool looking.
