When I was a Patrol Deputy Sheriff, I did not go to work, looking to arrest or shoot black folk. There were times where I would have been justified but I believe I was guided by my faith, to take the extra effort before the fatal action. I received my pain for doing that, from assaults upon my body and chastisement from my superiors and partners for placing myself in such danger. The point I’m getting to is that I believe that mindset is more prevalent then police are given credit for. In policing, the problem is the police must be taken from the human race. We know that we humans come in all packages and some who shouldn’t be there, but somehow slide on in and they let their evil dominate them. Unfortunate as it is, it happens and then the whole of policing is tarnished. That being said, I beg of all, to be honest and look at the true facts and not cherry pick or extrapolate biased facts, to fit an agenda. I believe this original post does facilitate that unfortunate truth.

Sir your facts are incorrect, Please at least research the information. George Floyd’s death tragic as it was in Minneapolis, has revived the Obama-era narrative that law enforcement is endemically racist.
Two prominent studies have concluded that police do not use deadly force more frequently against black suspects than white suspects. Police more frequently killed whites than any other race or ethnicity. A 2015 study by Harvard professor Roland G. Fryer, Jr. found that there was no racial bias in the use of lethal police force between black and white suspects in similar situations. We have a political battle for the hearts and minds of voters and this is being used to drive a wedge.

In 2015 94 unarmed people were shot and killed by police, 34 were Black. In 2019 28 unarmed people were shot and killed by police 9 were black. One is to many but things are improving.
