I am so glad I live in a University Town. I signed up for this course today:
PHYSICS
Aliens! It’s (Almost)
Never Aliens!
with Brand Fortner, Ph.D.
Mondays, Jan. 26 – March 2
Six sessions • 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Online $75
From mysterious lights in the
sky to bizarre signals from
distant stars, history is full of
moments when scientists and the
public alike thought, “It must be
extraterrestrials!” only to discover a
perfectly natural explanation later.
This class includes a whirlwind tour
of 20 fascinating cases, such as crop
circles, Tabby’s Star and the “face”
on Mars, where the truth turned out
to be stranger (and more satisfying)
than fiction. This course is part
science, part detective story. Bring
your curiosity — and leave your
tinfoil hat at home!
Brand Fortner is a teaching professor
in physics at NC State University and
adjunct professor of physics at UNC-
Chapel Hill. He is the founder of two
software companies and previously
held positions at NASA, NCSA and
Johns Hopkins University.

Whether We Believe Something Or We Don't Believe It,
Doesn't Change The Fact, It Does Or It Doesn't Exist...
And With The Newest Technologies, Many Myths Are Now Facts

Ya See The Word "Osher" With The Large Circle Around It?
Well GEE THANKS -- I Tried To Wipe It Off My Screen With My Index Finger,
Which Is Right Next To The Finger I'd Like To Give You For Making ME Look
ALMOST As Stupid As I Really AM ! - "OH Duh" On My Part-!

These courses are always full. Usually, in a classroom of about fifty folks, I am one of the younger ones...at 74! And in my last class (On Italian Renaissance Art) Fourteen folks in the Class were former Professors with Ph.D.'s . I guess once you get the hang of learning ...it doesn't fade with age.
