In order to get the Disabled Vet's 10% discount at Home Depot, you HAVE to have a VA identification card that SPECIFICALLY says "SERVICE CONNECTED."
If the folks at this HD store do their jobs like the ones at my local store do, they WILL check every time, even if they know the person.

I belong tot he Warriors Watch Riders, a group that gives motorcycle escorts to deploying and returning servicemen. I was in the self serve section and the women who was at the counter, in charge of that area, said "Sir, I can give you a veteran discount." I said no thank you and she said "Thank you for your service." I had never heard that Home Depot even gave discounts to Vets.

PO2 Jonathan Scharff Depends on the Home Depot. I was in line one day and a guy had his DD214 with him because that particular store offered veteran discounts. He was buying like $2,000 in new flooring, so it made sense to pull up the papers.

He is jacked up... MAJ (Join to see) this 21 year old came into the service at 16, he is presently 21 and has achieved the rank of a Major, so I am assuming he must have finished his 4 year degree at the age of 16 to attend OCS..
