Interesting but I think back to my SAC Arc Light days. Sure we only deployed for 90 days and then another 90 days home followed another deployment........forever. That cycle gets old for everyone.

The system is not to alleviate combat arms units. They do a lot of individual, crew, and collective training before deployment which requires a lot of time.
