Military life taught me resilience the Stoic way: stay steady, control what you can, and respond with purpose not by impulse.

Epictetus said it best:
“We cannot choose our external circumstances, but we can always choose how we respond to them.”

Service forged that mindset in me.
Show up. Stay grounded. Carry your weight with integrity.
Resilience isn’t a moment; it’s a daily practice

Never Quit

You know when you quote from "Meditations" And the writings of a Roman General and Emperor, quoting a freed Slave who happened to have the same Teacher...it shows how well read Soldiers really are. While I am not a Stoic, I do find much of their wisdom applicable. And when those lessons last 2,000 years...well, there must be something to it. Lovely. Just lovely.
