Perseverance Rover collected First Mars Sample!
It has been awhile since there have been any good imaging or subjects for review by NASA or any decent scientific video creator... IgadgetPro has been one of the best Mars video creators and I determined that this video was worth sharing with all of RP... There have been so many idiotic video creations that just are not worthy of posting, because they overlay objects over the images which make up the video... If you know anything about video editing, you understand that video is time-based and is done in layers... I create videos from either stills or other videos I take, and use the process... This video is real from everything I see as are others from this iGadgetPro creator...
Here is the description of what you will see...
"On September 1, 2021 NASA’s Perseverance Rover drilled Martian Rock again and collected First Mars Sample in tube №266. Mastcam-Z images shows a sample of Mars rock inside the sample tube on Sept. 1, 2021 (the 190th sol, or Martian day, of the mission), shortly after the coring operation. Images were taken after coring concluded but prior to an operation that vibrates the drill bit and tube to clear the tube’s lip of any residual material. The bronze-colored outer-ring is the coring bit. The lighter-colored inner-ring is the open end of the sample tube, and inside is a rock core sample slightly thicker than a pencil. A portion of the tube’s serial number – 266 – can be seen on the top side of tube’s wall." IgadgetPro/NASA

I hope you enjoy it...

It would be great to know what is learned from the sample.

Thank you for your comment, LTC John Shaw! - That will come when a mission is set up to retrieve the samples and return them to Earth... My educated guess will be within the 2-year cycle when Mars and Earth are in close proximity... probably in 2023..., but then this is a NASA planning venture and the time period for the mission will be selected by them... This will give us many of the results we are looking for...

First of many. The getting a sample is fairly routine, the ability to analyze it on Mars and send results back is what's amazing to me.

Some analysis will be made on Mars, but some samples will be returned to Earth for more detailed study, and that is where the mission will become a round trip scenario... Should be exciting to see happen if I live long enough...
