What fallout do you think will come behind the US using drug trafficking to capture President Maduro, in order to control Venezuela oil?

INFORMATION FROM GOOGLE

The capture of President Nicolás Maduro is directly linked to the United States' stated intention to have American oil companies return to and revive Venezuela's oil industry, with the ultimate goal of the U.S. having significant control over the country's oil management.
Here is how the events are connected:
Reclaiming "Stolen Oil": U.S. officials, including President Trump and Vice President Vance, have stated that the operation was aimed in part at "taking back what they stole," referring to the expropriation of U.S. oil company assets (like ExxonMobil and ConocoPhillips) by former President Hugo Chávez decades ago.
U.S. Oil Company Involvement: President Trump explicitly stated that "very large United States oil companies" will go into Venezuela, "spend billions of dollars, fix the badly broken infrastructure," and "start making money for the country". This indicates a plan for American firms to take a leading role in the industry.
Interim U.S. Control: Following Maduro's capture, Trump declared the U.S. would "run the country" until a transition could take place. Secretary of State Marco Rubio later clarified that this control primarily refers to using a U.S.-imposed naval "quarantine" and oil blockade as leverage to meet U.S. conditions, which include increasing U.S. access to Venezuelan oil and stopping drug trafficking.
Economic Leverage: The U.S. has used extensive sanctions on Venezuela's state oil company, PDVSA, for years to cut off the Maduro regime's primary source of hard currency and exert pressure for a change in government. With Maduro in custody, the U.S. can now more directly influence the post-Maduro government (currently led by interim leader Delcy Rodríguez, who has expressed a willingness to "collaborate") to ensure U.S. interests are met.
Political vs. Resource Motives: While U.S. officials cited the indictment of Maduro on drug-trafficking and narco-terrorism charges as the legal basis for his capture, many observers and political opponents within the U.S. and globally view the action as primarily motivated by the desire to control Venezuela's vast oil reserves, the largest proven reserves in the world.
In essence, the capture of Maduro is seen as the primary action to remove a hostile leader who nationalized U.S. oil interests, thereby clearing the path for American companies to re-enter and manage a key global oil source under U.S. oversight.

Fallout? Compared to the previous status quo? This oil will only benefit the Venezuelan people going forward and open the market up to not just the US, but the rest of the world, without subsidized support to the likes of Cuba, China, Russia, etc... "Fallout" is a negative term when what has happened in Venezuela will provide more positives than negatives. It will take time and there still will be hardships, but ultimately the Venezuelans will eventually prosper, along with those nations that do business with them. Look to Panama as the example. They had a rough time initially, but most of what happened to them by Noriega wasn't 20+ years in the making as the Chavez/Maduro regimes facilitated. Venezuela's situation has already been bad through those years and they only have a positive path to go (i.e. things can't get much worse for them). There are also far richer on resources than Panama, which will help them get on their feet going forward.

MSG Thomas Currie Maybe the President will resume with the National Guard active in California, Oregon and Washington now that Maduro has been subdued.

CPL Douglas Chrysler - He did exactly what socialists always do once they gain power. Look at NYC mayor Zohran Mamdani and his newly appointed "tenant advocate" Cea Weaver openly calling for the abolishment of property ownership as an individual right.

None. There will be the mandatory gnashing of teeth, flailing of arms, and furiously worded letters. To paraphrase Bill Shakespeare, 'It is a tale
Told by useful idiots full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.'

I stand corrected, he was charged on the basis of drugs and on the basis of guns. Hopefully, the results will be positive as they should be. There are pitfalls that can occur particularly as it regards Venezuelan government developments down the road. Regime change often fails to meet expectations. In essence, time will tell. Throughout my life my crystal ball has been cloudy so I hesitate to make predictions

SP5 Dennis Loberger you are a wise person. War mongers crave blood, but they send the children of the down trodden to die, not their own.

That's incorrect - There were 4 charges presented...
Count 1: Narco-terrorism conspiracy - Alleging support for groups designated as "foreign terrorist organizations".
Count 2: Cocaine importation conspiracy.
Count 3: Possession of machineguns and destructive devices.
Count 4: Conspiracy to possess machineguns and destructive devices.

It was for both (drug- and gun-related charges).

His indictment* from 2020 was for:
• Narco-Terrorism Conspiracy
• Cocaine Importation Conspiracy
• Possession of machine guns and destructive devices (in connection with the drug trafficking crimes)
• Conspiracy to possess machine guns and destructive devices
