Good afternoon, Rallypoint. Today's Astronomy Picture of the Day is titled "A 212-Hour Exposure of Orion." What can 212 hour of camera time, another year of processing, and a 1400-image collage produce? I don't think I've ever seen Orion in this level of detail. Mouse over the image on the APOD page and you will see the various features identified. The size of the Full Moon is shown at the lower left, giving a perspective on the entire area this image covers. Two thumbs up!
