This is why people don't report sexual assaults in the military. It's not taken seriously. This is a joke. I realize it wasn't rape, but it's still sexual assault. If he was enlisted, he'd have been demoted to E-1 and kicked out. This guy gets a reprimand and a loss of pay for 5 months....which means he'll still retire with a Major General pension. Disgusting. I definitely agree with You @SSG Cody Voye! The USMC LtCol received harsher punishment fir simply asking for accountability!

There's always been a two standards for UCMJ. Enlisted and officer. The Ltc got severely punished because the USMC didn't like that he aired their laundry.

Absolutely! My CO in basic was a CPT and he ‘popped positive’ on a piss test and all they did to him was remove him from his command. One of my DI’s got caught fraternizing with a trainee and he got busted down from an E7 to E5 and kicked off the ‘trail’. He ended up driving the base bus. After AIT and proper diagnosis of my injury, I wasn’t really upset I couldn’t go OCS. I was disappointed I couldn’t go Airborne. I was already an E4 and as ADMIN I could still perform in my MOS, so I stayed on Active Duty.SSG(P) (Join to see)
