Had a Marine in one of my deployments standing too close to a canopy with a metal frame who got a good zap when lightning struck the canopy. They came to medical and it was in the middle of the night and when they told me (half asleep and I slept hard that night) I was like, "you have seriously got to be kidding me!" Lol!

Lightning strikes can be as terrifying as tornadoes when they are close to you SN Greg Wright. My mother in-law lost a young sister to a lightning strike when they were growing up in Cuba in the 1930's.
I have seen lightning strikes but thankfully I have never been close enough to be injured by them.
