Isn't peaceful coexistence preferable for a variety of reasons, even if some don't know and don't care about the people who are being harmed?

It is understandable why arms trade/dealing/thieving is a lucrative "business" for those who are not inclined to be law-abiding.

One of these could provide the equivalent of a good investment. Several, a better investment. Once used they are gone, in seconds, well, at least minutes - and provide highly questionable bang for the buck in return.
