LTC Jeff Shearer Like your way of thinking, could solve not making recruitment goals but also will be a leadership challenge.

What is going on with these soldiers? No matter if we were pissy, hung over, etc., we still did our job. They don't care anymore. It's a sad state our military is in.

You are so right, Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen . We loaded those for rigged air drops. To see someone DELIBERATELY screw it up...

Thank you MSgt Cayle Harris for sharing the rest of the story about airborne operation by the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, three Humvees slipped from their parachute rigging and plummeted to earth.

Here is the background video [expletives deleted]
"The 173rd Airborne Brigade is investigating what went wrong during an airborne drop that resulted in three Humvees free-falling to their destruction, as depicted in a widely-shared online video."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soQulLVbZyI

I am glad to learn that:
1. a 7th Army military judge has found Sgt. John Skipper to be guilty "of destruction of government property and making a false official statement for his role in a botched Humvee air drop that destroyed three of the [Humvee] vehicles during an April 2016 training exercise.
2. The General Court Martial panel consisting of enlisted soldiers and officers.
3. The judge specifically found "Sgt. John Skipper, who was in charge of verifying that the parachutes were properly rigged, had intentionally cut their straps, causing hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage, according to a 7th Army release."
4. This B Troop, 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment, NCO who was based in Germany " was sentenced to a reduction in grade to E-1 and a Bad Conduct Discharge.
Thanks for mentioning me Lt Col Charlie Brown FYI our friend SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL posted a similar discuss:

And I thought it was bad, when a solder in my platoon got an Article-15 for shaving off all of his hair, and getting sunburned on his head.
And, What does that have to do with 3 Humvee's plummeting from a plane???
He was the 1SGT's jeep driver, and the jeep did plummeted to the ground from a C-130, that looked like a pancake, causing TOP and himself to walk in the desert with the rest of us, "For the next 12 weeks."
Anyway, what do you expect, "82nd. ABN 2/505th INF. "Airborne, All the Way"!
