SPC Brett Curry You are very lucky, not many have seen these guns fire! I had the good fortune to Re-enlist in front of the forward most gun mount in the early 70's in Bremerton, Washington at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard while I was stationed on USS Coral Sea CVA-43. After I was Commissioned to CWO2 in 1979, I did temporary duty as Asst. Combat Systems Officer at PSNS and got to open her up to ready her for her trip south for modernization and recommissioning...that is an story for another future post, since the Mighty MO had not been in service since the end of the Korean war.

Thanks, I knew an Army Major that served in VN. He said how appreciative they were for the Mew Jersey and the impressive firepower. Last time they were used.
