If you watch the movie The Beast of War aka the Beast with Jason patrick, you could see that these are Israelis really modified a captured Egyptian or Syrian tanks and repurposed them. One of my master Gunners in armor said this was his favorite movie!

LTC (Join to see) - I was stationed at Irwin when this came out, on HBO if I remember right. It was almost required to see it.

CPT (Join to see) - I believe they were offering the tanks they have in active service, probably the modernized T-72 which is the mainstay for Ukraine, and most of the former Warsaw Pact countries. They were asking the US to speed up the Polish purchase of Abrams tanks to free up their current tanks to give to Ukraine.

No one is talking about M1A2 tanks, just Mi's with 105 mm guns.Still better than anything the russians have.

I have a lot of respect for GEN Keane, he's even a relative. But I cannot help but see that his starting point is 'give them anything they want'. I hope that the horror he feels at the loss of civilian lives is genuine. Irrespective, what we are seeing in Ukraine is 'Total War'. The only thing missing is that neither has been at war long enough for their economies to cross over to a war footing. World War II was IMHO the only total war in which the US have ever been engaged. Since 1960 There has been a pseudo-corporate entity commonly referred to as the 'Military-Industrial Complex'. Pres. Eisenhower warned us about it because he could see how corrupting it could / would be to the foreign policy of the United States. The 'give them everything' mentality is exactly what the MI Complex likes to see. More spending, more, more, more!

Another example of bait and switch by the Democratic broken Biden administration because as soon as the bill was approved, then he started talking about the green New Deal and less about inflation.

You conveniently forget that up until the day they were invaded Ukraine didn't feel that there was an imminent threat of an invasion. It would be tough to sell world imposed sanctions when the country being threatened doesn't acknowledge the threat. Surprisingly Biden didn't pull an 'I told you so' and pushed for those sanctions after the invasion.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen no he just had dereliction of Duty across the board. Afghanistan, saying he's back at NATO but being Mr Rogers and Mr magoo. He put extra money for his stupid climate change bologna and we are probably going to run out of artillery shells because he doesn't make the 155 round just as important as operation warp speed or his stupid and faulty climate change agenda.

President Biden needs to have an operation warp speed -like increase in artillery shell production because his weakness worldwide is emboldening China to attack Taiwan in the next two years.

Congress is appropriating money for all the wrong things at the wrong time.

When in a bad peace, prepare for war and forget about climate change!
