Should RallyPoint Admin change tags on posts or leave them as intended by the poster?

CW2 (Join to see) - No doubt there is always an issue of interpretation when it comes to rules. If it were not so, there would be no appellate court, no US Supreme Court.
As I was not the Admin that changed the tags on that thread, so i can not speak to why they were changed..
I can say on the dozens of posts I have changed tags on this month alone.. it was due to clear misunderstanding of how and why the tag system works (or a deliberate intention of not using Tags as intended)

CW2 (Join to see) that's a valid point about the "NCO" and "JBLM" tags. I'll be the first to admit the system isn't perfect but if you have an issue please reach out to more than one admin. To help facilitate this and keep the site as transparent as possible, any member can directly message any admin without needing to be connected to them. We often share information and ideas in order to help keep RP fair, organized and impartial. If there is a need, one admin can always improve on the actions of another, including tags.

The "leadership" tag is one of the more over and misused tag, so much so that we have debated getting rid of it completely. On a military network nearly everything could be about "leadership" and so the discussions in the Leadership appear a bit random. The whole idea behind tags is to avoid this. As those above me have stated, topic tags should closely reflect the subject of a post and not an intended audience, which why many tags are changed.

I made a comment about RP having gender neutralized the pronouns in the "salute them" notification. When I go to the activity list under my profile, The original points for posing the question are still there. I was relatively sure I would get some comment from people I regularly notify. When I use the link in my profile to check that post, I got the same result as hitting the "My Feed" link under the "home" tab. There's trace evidence of my post, but the post itself is gone.

Is it safe to assume that post was scrubbed? I do no not remember anything in the RP terms of use that prohibits pointing out something the RP "powers that be" do. I just pointed it out and did not directly criticize RP. I merely pointed out that my preferred pronouns were "he" and "him." Admittedly a bit of a poke, but a pretty innocuous one.

I have also had posts that were purely humorous in nature, I was not in any way vulgar, nor did I target an RP member. In one case, the tags I used were "political humor and opinion" and "Energy". The link had to do with calls from the left for immediate cessation of the use of fossil fuels on a well-known satire site. My tags were removed, and the replacement tag was "anthropology." There was no content related to anthropology. I did use the image of a caveman to illustrate where an immediate moratorium on fossil fuels would put us. LTC Kevin Broom was the administrator in question. He did notify me. He did not remove the post, but I felt this was his way of limiting the exposure of my post.

Looks like you posted your opinion in the form of a statement in the "answers" forum.
I did not take any admin action on your post, so I can only guess.

Id have to read the post to know for sure, but it appears from what you have said, it may not have been appropriate for the answers forum.
For sure its fits in the user update category, I see no reason you cant repost it as a update
