At my age I cope by isolation. I know THEY all say not to do that but it works for me. I am just fine living alone and not having any relationships with anyone. I am most at peace when just by myself. I do have a dog and she is my best friend. I was treated at the VA for chronic PTSD for almost 5 years and I still see my shrink there every 4 months. I would say to younger men and women go and get all of the help you can and I hope you can find something that helps.

Chasing the kids around the yard.
Something about them laughing (and screaming in terror) always makes me smile.

Exactly, every moment we take to enjoy the details help and our children are definitely our investment in our future and theirs as well.
