There is no benefit PVT Louis General, I'd rather be 100 healthy and so would everyone else.

I stand corrected SP5 Peter Keane. I have been at 100% since 2016 and just finally received the documentation from VA Regional office for tax property tax purposes. NC requires a ‘Certificate of Disability’. Don’t know of another state which requires this form...SP5 Peter Keane

I just took my annual letter to the Tax Assessor. That letter also worked when I was in Texas, although there, it is complete exemption.

No property taxes and free car registration , at least in the state of Pennsylvania i was living in GA and they give a discount on taxes had to pay full price for car registration

In KY its no property tax on your first 30K of primary residence. So my 200K home is taxed as 170. And no car registration fee - but I still have to pay annual property tax on it (which is way more than the registration cost). Better than nothing, but worse than most I have heard about.

SFC Casey O'Mally here in PA we have property taxes and school taxes I don’t pay either, i am 100 percent P and T

SPC James Neidig - I should move! Our property taxes are extremely high and I get about 300 bucks off an 8K bill!

SFC William Farrell if I had to pay taxes on my $170,00 home they would be about $8,000 a year and go up every year

1. Dependents Indemnity Compensation (DIC) for your spouse after your death. If you are married enough years (ten?) the spouse may continue to be paid a benefit after your Disability check stops. Its usually about $1400 a month.
2. Dependents Education Assistance (Chapter 35 benefit): Spouse and kids going to school full time can get $1200 a month benefit (pro rated for part time attendance) for 36 months.
