My guess is that The real plan is to avoid actually having a plan as much as possible.

Use of unnecessarily harsh language against ISIS by dropping F-Bombs has been authorized. That ought to shut them up.
Now who has the fools-ball with the F-Bomb launch codes?

I'm thinking along the lines of PO1 (Join to see) We'll provide the air superiority and bomb them to the stone age then hand all those surplus French rifles (never fired, only dropped twice in the face of a numerically superior force :-0 ), some beans and bullets to our NATO allies to occupy some grid squares.

He talks in circles and I have no respect for someone who rarely looks directly at the camera. If you notice he spends his time looking from one side of the room to the other. I don't trust anyone who won't look you in the eye when they are speaking to you. After all....he is is talking to the American people when he has these messages not only the people in the room.....LOOK AT ME!!

You understand that there are people in the room that he is addressing, right?
Public speaking number rule #1, you address your audience. The audience is in the room. There are also about 50 cameras in the room, he can't arbitrarily stare into just one for the whole speech..

In the matter of months we have gone from ISIS being "the JV team" to "no strategy," to a force that needs to be reduced to being "manageable," to a force that needs to be decimated. If he had gotten his way to go in and support Syria's anti-Assad rebels last year, we would have been supporting ISIS. So we continue to see a reactionary vice proactive stance on the world's most notorious and brutal terrorist organization, and they clearly are taking advantage of our weak leadership. I don't think POTUS will have anything to say, because quite frankly you just cannot believe the man. For example, we are not going to spike the football. Turns out he spiked it over and over and over again as he proclaimed Al Qaeda was defeated, and Iraq was stable. Now he claims it wasn't his decision to withdraw the troops from Iraq. He is putting more and more of my military brothers and sisters at risk. ISIS understands power and death, and nothing else. We need to start dropping heavy, massive bombs on their operations, and then force the Middle Eastern countries that are still alive to form a coalition to stabilize the country. I don't want to see any more of our American military personnel on the ground unless we are required to complete the annihilation of ISIS. Translation, it's only a matter of time before we send ground troops back in. Tonights telecast is just another broadcast of blaming somebody for his shortcomings. Maybe we should feed ISIS our school lunch program. That just might kill them all.

But, but, but what will the politicians do sir, you've taken away their only offensive weapon :-) and I mean offensive in both definitions of the word.

I saw something today that they are talking about providing weapons to the "less radical in Syria" or something to that effect..... After we deal with ISIS, guess where the next war will be? Just a couple hints: we helped put Saddam Hussain into power, then we took him out. We helped finance/weaponize Al Quida in Afghanistan... now we are dealing with them. Not trying to be a Negitive Nelly, but everyone that we provide arms to, we end up fighting... Bomb them. Bomb them all. As we used to say when I was a Medic in a Lance missile BN (Nuke): Nuke them till they glow, then shoot them in the dark!

I would pose that NOBODY in that region of the world likes us....and therefore, any weapons we give them will be used against us.

Ah I think you're on to something SFC William Swartz Jr...
Down in some dark cubicle in sub basement 1 at Langley, some geniuses with infinity level clearances are scowering FB and twitter to find that strategy from some dorm room, on-line, "Medal of Honor" geeks just as POTUS is about to put his foot in his mouth about 75 minutes from now.
Coincidence... Leroy Jethro Gibbs doesn't think so...
