Has anyone looking to start a business ever thought about starting an online date site for military or veterans? Many of us single veterans have troubles finding partners that understand the military life. Do you think this would be a good business for someone to start?

SSG Robert Burns if they would give you TDY to come up where I am good luck with that one. I would say that after a couple of bonfires and the rife range I could have you laughing and wanting to stay around. I need someone willing to do things with me.
lol

Anyone considered starting a military dating site for veterans and military-seeking singles?

If you ever fall in love
I went and looked and of course they are all pretty high to pay to read message sent to you. If someone pays to send a message that is not right that they can't read it that is like paying for nothing and a wasted time to write and not have other person be able to read it. But I ran across this and really like what it says it means alot to me.

Does anyone think the government might help a veteran with a start up fund for this? I can not do it like I said but there must be some way of doing it. It could be a good thing for people who have PTSD too. Because they would understand each other and the space each other would need now and then or the respect not to push the other till they are ready to talk and may bring down a lot of suicide rates to because the veteran or military person would not feel alone and or forgotten. If anyone does decide to try this let me know. Dont think about becoming a millionaire off it think of what you are doing for the military and veterans. OF course a person would need some money for their time but as soldiers back when I was in we risked our lives for very little way under $1000 a month with baq. So it may be a great thing. Also many would have similar things in common already. Just a thought throwing out to someone looking to start a business. thanks all.

Back about 5 yrs ago I tried a regular date site a guy came and met me. We were out splitting wood and I caught part of my thumb on the door lock when I slammed it shut and I went in the house and put a bandage on it and my glove back on and went back to work. Now most military people could understand this one. You finish the task at hand adapt and over come it. I went back out grabbed the axe and he said what are you doing. I said splitting wood for my stove. He shook his head some want the girly girl which I can be when I was not working. But always believed in helping the man. IN the Army man or not if something had to be done it got done. So that guy went to find a girl who was afraid to break a nail. Don't get me wrong I do my nails on occasion too. But having this tough military training makes it tough for others to understand. So yes PO2 Neil Manischewitz sounds like a try to me.

Hahah yes that's definitely a try! Unfortunately not all people understand the military life like you said, so it is tough for all of us! P.S. That guy just doesn't want to be intimidated lol

I didnt mean to intimidate him but after a couple of his swings he broke the handle of my brand new axe. lol...But I really do believe in working as a team I wonder where I got that from ?? I never mean to try to out do just help with what needs done. I really don't think he was used to splitting wood, but am grateful for his help. However he wanted to stop when he saw me come back to work. I no there are a lot of men who don't understand us or think we belong in the kitchen. But hey I think some guys can cook better then women. Either way it is team work. Bad part the military date site that was mentioned here you have to pay to see the messages that others pay to send to you. Well that is a waste of the persons money who pays to write the messages and send them if you cant read them and I wont pay until I see there is something worth being there for. lol... I was once known as one of the strongest women up here in N. MN but when I dressed up and did to out they said I lit up the room. Maybe that too is why I stopped going out guys try to get in my space to much, and I demand respect and no lazy drunks. Maybe that is why I look to military guys they no what work is and what team work is.

I do think that this would be a good business for an entrepreneur to start. I agree that not everyone understands the ins and outs of military life.

Too damn many perverts in the world. Just look at some of the other sites and read some reviews about how they started to help people and ended up major scam sites.

I have thought about starting a military/veteran dating sight, but like the others, I would not have the capital to make it happen. The market for such a service is definitely there for someone with the money and connections.
