Are you trying to lose weight? Have you considered "shooting" as an exercise?

Apparently Thomas Jefferson thought that shooting was a great exercise and, to be fair, I've never seen an obese shooter at the trap and skeet range (at least none I can remember). How about you?

Do you think President Obama would make it part of a National Physical Fitness Program?

You need to spend some time in Alabama and you'll lose the "All shooters are skinny" ideology! WOW!!
No, I don't consider shooting "exercise" - BUT - anything that gets a person out of the house and off their ass is a GOOD thing.

That's a good point captain. Some people are truly lazy, no matter what. I even find lazy people in my gym all the time working hard to find a way to not work so hard, it's all motivation. I can tell you there are definitely ways to make shooting training into a workout though.

I love shooting, and I think it could definitely be done in a way in which you are physically active, go for it! But no, I don't think obummer would enjoy seeing more well trained American citizens...

I don't know about exercise, but my old qualifying range instructors would have quite a bit to say about President Obama's stance and weapon handling shown in post looks awkward but then again he's a lefty and that used to drive them nuts.

Obama is anti-gun/anti 2nd Amendment, he wouldn't support anything that supports firearms, in a positive manner.

I've never been trap or skeet shooting. I have a handgun and that's the only firearm I have right now. All soldiers, regardless of branch, there are many ways to keep in shape, without going to a gym.
Diet, what an individual person eats and drinks, be it good or bad, affects how a person performs and how their weight fluctuates. Bad food in, bad performance out and vice versa. A workout regiment can easily be done at home. If you're in to weight training then used weights or sets can be found almost anywhere. I've got some spare cinder block in the back yard that I can use for endurance.
This may sound stupid but I use a running app, called Zombies, Run! Hear me out. It's a story based, audio app that plays clips while you're running. As the Runner, you are addressed, generically, in the story as if you are a part of it. https://zombiesrungame.com/
There is a free and paid version of which I am a member. There is interval training, various distance runs, and others. I hate running, but this gets my tail moving more than just music. If you're curious, check out the free version.
Our health and how we can use our bodies over short and long periods of time is determined by how healthy and in good shape we are. Keeping BMI and weight within a healthy range along with a good, healthy diet will keep us in shape. Most importantly for our health, but how we look to ourselves.
