As a 100% disabled combat vet, what occasions can I wear the uniform, if at all?

Disabled, retired, medically retired- same status.

You should be able to wear it under the same conditions as any other vet. I don’t think it matters that you’re 100% disabled.

Disabled or not, wear it any time you want. PERIOD!!!

Seperated uniform with awards & last authorized Patches can be worn for authorized Funerals,Weddings or any Military ceremony for that day only . AR 670-1 is long & convoluted

I don't know when you were in. What was AFR 35-10 is now AFI 36-2903 if you want to check and see what the latest is. Just FYI.

I was told by my SGM after i was honorable discharge, you need to follow the component regulations on wear of the unify. Army use AR 670-1. Can only wear the uniform on military function, wedding, funerals. Hope this helps

For U.S. Navy personnel, in accordance with NAVPERS the following is required for 20-year retirees:
61002. UNIFORMS FOR RETIRED PERSONNEL
1. GENERAL. Retired officers and enlisted personnel, who are not on active duty, may wear the uniform, insignia, and qualifications corre­sponding to the rank or rating indicated on the retired list.
2. UNIFORM AUTHORIZED
a. Retired personnel may wear uniforms at ceremonies or official functions when the dignity of the occasion and good taste dictate. Wearing a uniform is appropriate for memorial services, weddings, funerals, balls, patriotic or military parades, ceremonies in which any active or reserve United States military unit is participating, and meetings or functions of military associations.
b. Retired personnel may wear the uniform of their grade while instructing a cadet corps or similar organization at approved naval or military academies or other approved academic institutions.
3. UNIFORM NOT AUTHORIZED. Retired personnel are prohibited from wearing the uniform in connection with personal enterprises, business activities, or while attending or participating in any demonstration, assembly or activity for the purpose of furthering personal or partisan views on political, social, economic, or religious issues.

Personnel who are medically retired and personnel who are discharged without retiring are not authorized to wear the uniform.

10 U.S. Code § 772 - When wearing by persons not on active duty authorized

(a) A member of the Army National Guard or the Air National Guard may wear the uniform prescribed for the Army National Guard or the Air National Guard, as the case may be.
(b) A member of the Naval Militia may wear the uniform prescribed for the Naval Militia.
(c) A retired officer of the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine Corps may bear the title and wear the uniform of his retired grade.
(d) A person who is discharged honorably or under honorable conditions from the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine Corps may wear his uniform while going from the place of discharge to his home, within three months after his discharge.
(e) A person not on active duty who served honorably in time of war in the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine Corps may bear the title, and, when authorized by regulations prescribed by the President, wear the uniform, of the highest grade held by him during that war.
(f) While portraying a member of the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine Corps, an actor in a theatrical or motion-picture production may wear the uniform of that armed force if the portrayal does not tend to discredit that armed force.
(g) An officer or resident of a veterans’ home administered by the Department of Veterans Affairs may wear such uniform as the Secretary of the military department concerned may prescribe.
(h) While attending a course of military instruction conducted by the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine Corps, a civilian may wear the uniform prescribed by that armed force if the wear of such uniform is specifically authorized under regulations prescribed by the Secretary of the military department concerned.
(i) Under such regulations as the Secretary of the Air Force may prescribe, a citizen of a foreign country who graduates from an Air Force school may wear the appropriate aviation badges of the Air Force.
(j) A person in any of the following categories may wear the uniform prescribed for that category:
(1) Members of the Boy Scouts of America.
(2) Members of any other organization designated by the Secretary of a military department.

Your service's uniform regulation will actually cover this. It has nothing to do with your VA rating and everything to do with your discharge type and status. I was medically retired and am authorized to wear my uniform almost whenever I feel like it. Honorably discharged vets will have another standard, GOTH will have another, and Dishonorable discharges I don't think ar authorized to wear it ever again.
