One of the most infamous answers was "climate change". Do you agree or do you think perhaps something else and why?

The greatest threat to America is that far too many influential people believe the pseudo-science of man-made climate change and are determined to destroy the economy to prevent it. The greatest existential threat is that We the People keep falling for crackpot politicians who create crisis like man-made climate change to become and remain incumbents.

Hands down: Our national debt. Money = Power. We have a spending problem. As long as we continue to allow politicians to buy votes with OUR money, it won't change. We need term limits in congress.

And runaway inflation often triggered by good old fashioned greed and grubbing for more dollars. As to these national debt not only is it getting worse but these politicians as You pointed keep stick their hands in our pockets and driving us towards debt as well. I also find it disturbing these people in many cases enter politics without huge amounts of money but become multi-millionaires on their so called public service. The job doesn't pay that of course it was all honest and above board and if You believe that maybe You would like to buy a bridge !

The number one threat is our increasing inability to get along with each other, especially anyone who disagrees with our own viewpoint.

Agreed! The separation happening in this country is getting out of hand. Did the Civil War teach us nothing? Even the "Leave No Child Behind" and "Black Lives Matter" issues are creating divisiveness. Political correctness is not helping. All it's doing is pissing us off. Do you think calling someone a "Native American" is making us buddies? Even the Indians think it's stupid. Most of us were born here so we're "Native Americans" too. Oh, I'm sorry. I think Indians are "Indigenous Americans" now. All this does is frustrate me. I don't know about you but, when I get frustrated, I get pissed. And when I'm pissed, I find it very hard to get along with anybody.

The broke-dick two-party system that tries to stuff 350 million people into 2 boxes, thereby dividing everyone.

Civil unrest, corrupt government. Political divide between right and left cause a civil "cold war" through out the US. Meanwhile, China, Russia, and North Korea plot to take advantage of our weakened state by hitting us with a mass cyber attack that shuts down the power grids and wipes out all the banks. The US plunges into Second Civil War when the economy, and the government collapses.

Feckless political leadership is the greatest existential threat to America..... My reason is that in politics there is no mission target. The political leadership has no desire to win. They want to blindfold the military and tell them "just try to hit the dart board and we will go from there..."

Domestic disorder. Too many people going farther to each side of the spectrum. Eventually it's going to blow up into an armed disagreement between the two sides until either one side gives up, both sides are destroyed or the country just ends up split in two.
