So, this is from the Daily Beast, and it infers that military veterans must be monitored. It brings up "the present and historical ties between American hate groups and armed servicemen and women....".

My own belief is that, because Veterans, Evangelical Christians, conservative Catholics, and mothers disagreeing with school boards tend to not vote the way that the staff of the Daily Beast would like, then they should be rounded up like the Gypsies and Jews in Germany in 1939 (too much of a threat to the New Order).

It seems that this article would classify George Washington as a "Radicalized Military Vet".

So, how do you see it?

I believe that new recruits make an easy target for extremist. But the real threat could come from veterans with combat experience and a bad attitude or gang affiliation. Most veterans that I know would support the military and their respective branches in defending America from a domestic threat. I physically can't serve, but I will always be prepared to defend this country, even if it means taking action against mis-guided Americans. I take my oath seriously until I die. Even threats for wanting to deny Trump the white house. I am a Marine, come find me if you don't like what I am saying!

This is a hard question to answer. I will answer with my own thoughts. But however us Veterans has been marked as Domestic Terrorist by the far left and Democratic elected officials. There is two types of people who join the military, Patriots & Non-patriots. With in the military ranks the Patriots out way the non-patriots as a whole. Somehow the Patriots that leave the military on a good note (Honorable Discharge) somehow gets Radicalized from leftist groups by Brainwashing a individual by feeding lies to them. Just like the Cults do to intrap one into their thinking and their way of life. It is up to the individual to join the far left or not. This has been going on for over 227 years and not just here in the United States, but all over the World when the Romans created the military. I refer to them as Turncoats because they no longer belong in my Brother's and sister's in arms club. Good night my Brother's and Sister's. Stay Safe, Healthy and be aware of your surroundings.

The first thing we need to do is look at the articles author... Nick Schager is an Entertainment Critic for the Daily Beast. His responsibilities include: writing reviews, features, and interview and Q&A pieces about film, television, music and pop culture.
Next, we need to look at the publication "Daily Beast": There is a clear Left bias in news content published by The Daily Beast. In its politics section, it claims to be “non-partisan, but not neutral.”
In truth, they strongly align with liberal, progressive, or left-wing thought and/or policy agendas. Many stories display sensationalist tags, such as “Ok Boomer,” "Crashed Plane Behind D.C. Chaos Owned by Big-Time MAGA Donor Couple", “The Kentucky Miner Who Scammed Americans by Claiming He Was Hitler and Plotting a ‘Revolt’ With ‘Spaceships’,” and “No, Rudy: Trump Isn’t Othello. He’s Iago.” Their latest attack against our veteran community "The Chilling Threat of Radicalized U.S. Military Vets" is just another of their sensationalist tags...
The "Chilling Threat..." article by Schager is nothing more than an entertainment review of Charlie Sadoff’s documentary movie “Against All Enemies”. The documentary purports to investigate how white nationalist organizations go after soldiers and cops—and shows you why that’s so scary. However, despite the "Documentary" in its description, it is nothing more than a movie. And, like a lot of other documentary movies, it contains a smattering of truth thrown together with a lot of sensational sounding fiction. We should not consider Schager's article to be anything other than a barely readable mishmash of sensational sounding propaganda. It's meant to demean our veteran community and spread meaningless discourse about a subject the author know nothing about!

Yes I do. I believe that every Radicalized (Atheist, Anti-God, Liberal, Progressive, Democratic Socialist, Socialist, Communist) veteran is a threat. They have been trained in weapons and tactics. They were sworn to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America and have thrown those vows away. Promoting ANY other form of government, advocating for any foreign national to enter our country ILLEGALLY, giving aid and succor to those same ILLEGAL migrants, ALL violates their oaths. They are, at the least, potential threats to this great nation. At the most, they are potential TRAITORS and ENEMIES OF THE STATE.

I believe that the vast majority (99%) of military vets are decent, patriotic citizens who are very supportive of the country and the idea of America. If needed, I also believe they would happily put the uniform back on and do whatever was necessary to defend the US.
Having said that, I think radicalized vets COULD be a threat, not in their numbers, but in the fact that they could train radicalized non-vets. Because there are more non-vets engaged in these movements than actual veterans, a small number of vets could create a formidable force out of those who never served.

What would be nice is if they would shut down useless incompetent, lying websites that peddle bullshit like the daily beast. What is astonishing to me that the joint chiefs of staff with all of them ribbons and dedication to "Themselves". Where are they with the invasion thru our borders! 1000 gotaways a day in the month of October! That they don't have this buffoon in a choke hold.

TSgt Daniel Newman Introduced in House (05/10/2012) https://www.congress.gov/bill/112th-congress/house-bill/5736

I believe this Bill is relevant to your statement.

Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012 - Amends the United States Information and Educational Exchange Act of 1948 to authorize the Secretary of State and the Broadcasting Board of Governors to provide for the preparation and dissemination of information intended for foreign audiences abroad about the United States, including about its people, its history, and the federal government's policies, through press, publications, radio, motion pictures, the Internet, and other information media, including social media, and through information centers and instructors. (Under current law such authority is restricted to information disseminated abroad, with a limited domestic exception.)

Authorizes the Secretary and the Board to make available in the United States motion pictures, films, video, audio, and other materials prepared for dissemination abroad or disseminated abroad pursuant to such Act, the United States International Broadcasting Act of 1994, the Radio Broadcasting to Cuba Act, or the Television Broadcasting to Cuba Act.

Amends the Foreign Relations Authorization Act, Fiscal Years 1986 and 1987 to prohibit funds for the Department of State or the Board from being used to influence public opinion or propagandizing in the United States. (Under current law such provision applies to the United States Information Agency [USIA].)

Applies such prohibition only to programs carried out pursuant to the United States Information and Educational Exchange Act of 1948, the United States International Broadcasting Act of 1994, the Radio Broadcasting to Cuba Act, and the Television Broadcasting to Cuba Act.

States that such provision shall: (1) not prohibit the Department or the Board from providing information about its operations, policies, programs, or program material, or making such information available to members of the media, public, or Congress; (2) not be construed to prohibit the Department from engaging in any medium of information on a presumption that a U.S. domestic audience may be exposed to program material; and (3) apply only to the Department and the Board and to no other federal department or agency.

This article is written by the same mindset of people who believe that speech can be violence, that anyone who disagrees with them is a Nazi, that 1.5 percent of the population should wag the dog, that people born men can be women while keeping their penis, and that it is just fine to welcome in everyone who hates us but wants to be like us and offer them free college.

The problem with us is that no one has the guts to stand up for normalcy, because the effects on our jobs/work/lives can be so devastating. Me neither, I have to admit. If I were still active duty, I wouldn't have the balls to be on rallypoint for fear a drunken post might end my career. Even this one, and I am posting quite sober.

I'm sure the British considered everyone who signed the Constitution and the entire Continental Congress and Continental Army to be "radicalized military vets".

Where are our leaders? Patton would never make General now, Chesty Puller would get "cancelled", Congress would refuse to confirm Curtis LeMay, that's where they are, they never get the rank to BE leaders.

I am actually em bare assed for the rest of the world to see how foolish we have become.

I don't have an answer. I hope someone does but it doesn't seem likely.

Good job of putting it together. But insofar as your second paragraph, when "conservatives" went to D.C. to express their concerns, the Deep State went after them with EVERY surveillance, tracking, and snooping source that they had available. A 1LT in this web stated that he was at the Rally (but not at the Capital) on Jan 6, and was called in by the FBI for a "mandatory interview".

Even though the Left calls conservatives "Nazis", it is actually THEM using the 1941 tactics of declaring entire classes of persons as "Enemies of the State", and then convincing their Bobble-Headed Sheeples that the Greater Good is to dissipate or dispose of them.

I fee that most Military people are very tolerant and fully understand the concepts of Freedom which they serve to protect. To find extreme right positions isn't very common at all and there may well be other issues perhaps even mental health. Most Military members not only work well as part of a team but also understand how important a proper bearing and public image is the service as a whole. Public displays that get out of control not only reflect on that remember the service they represent and most of us know better than to engage in those sort of activities. It's not that You can't have Your own opinion by extremism Left or Right is dangerous and contrary to proper military conduct. I don't buy the concept at all that very many military members have been involved in that sort of conduct and are very carful abut what they express outside the service.

We are endangered by the far right who are radicalized by this dangerous cult. Extremely rare, if not impossible for a liberal, moderate, or libertarian to want to elect Nazis. My dad fought Nazis in WWII and he’d be furious that the US is now almost 50% fascist or Nazi, all the rest of us terrorized by orange Hitler.

Democrats (with some Republicans) voted down the Bill requiring a Judge and Hearing for FISA warrants....not a liberal action. Liberals are as susceptible to Demagogues as anyone else.....maybe more when the Demagogues buy in to Left Wing Extremist ideologies....BLM, ANTIFA, HAMAS, and "mostly peaceful" protects that burn cities....

Never before in the history of the United States has a political party attempted to stop their opponent, in a national election, by simultaneously bringing numerous charges using "creative" application of the law (that have NEVER before been applied). This HAS been done by Joseph Stalin and Adolph Hitler. So, if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a Nazi (or a real close cousin).

Radicalization of anyone is a threat to the nation. It’s just sad when it’s veterans doing it because we’re better than that. At least I used to think we were.
