Gentri Trio Patriotic Medley - 4th of July - Independence Day

Share some of your favorites with the RP Members!

I really enjoy patriotic songs, but check out this powerful medley of patriotic classics from the beautiful voices of Gentri. Hopefully these will make your day and you will be inspired. Bless this great country we live in and those who have served and died to keep it a great nation!

There are many! COL Mikel J. Burroughs I have a whole playlist of them. But, the Army Strong Song, I just love. It means a lot to me, as when I retired, at 33 years, my son made a video of my life, our lives, in the Army... and it ended with this. He said, to the audience, when he hears this song, it reminds him of me. That, made me cry.

One of my all time favorite songs is Over There aka The Yanks Are Coming. I always loved the chorus line.
Over there, over there,
Send the word, send the word over there
That the Yanks are coming, the Yanks are coming
The drums rum-tumming everywhere.
So prepare, say a prayer,
Send the word, send the word to beware -
We'll be over, we're coming over,
And we won't come back till it's over, over there.

Heard it many times, CPT (Join to see)! Interestingly enough, George M. Cohan wrote this in 1917 for WWI! COL Mikel J. Burroughs SGM (Join to see)

COL Mikel J. Burroughs, "The Battle Hymn of the Republic", also known as "Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory," Our National Anthem "The Star Spangled Banner" and Taps. Whenever I hear Taps, especially by a lone bugle player, waves of emotion flood over me.
