All you photogenic military personnel out there in RP Land let’s have a little photo session just to lighten it up today! Share the first photograph or the earliest photograph of yourself when you entered the military and tell us the date of the photo.

I'll start with Private Burroughs in 1975 at Fort Leonard Wood, MO & end with Colonel Mikel in 2005!

First photograph in uniform, November 1974, Fort Ord, CA and one of the last photos in uniform, sometime in 2015. Forty one years and I haven't changed a BIT.

My niece and her husband now live on Fort Ord, in the areas they have changed into residential housing. It astounds me when I visit them to think I used to ride by and watch them do military bombing in the area they are now living. They have the most beautiful views of the Monterey Bay, and live in an incredible neighborhood, although as a former member of SF he is having lots of trouble adjusting to being in a "homeowner's association". ;) I always loved driving down 101 through that base, my favorite after the Presidio in SF.

SFC William Farrell - One of my off duty MP brothers was down at the gate with his camera waiting on a ride to the nearby town and made the pics. He asked me if I wanted a copy of the pics and I'm glad I said yes as I was able to bring them home. Strange thing is I never had a camera the 30 months I was in West Germany but I brought home a lot of pictures made by my buddies who did have cameras. I have been lucky to hang on to the pics for the last 50 years.

I do not get enough thumbs up on here to give you all a thumbs up but you all deserve them. There is just something about a man or woman in a uniform that adds the extra good looks in us all. It says we belong to a military or veteran family strong bonds and we all look good in them. huraaaaaaaaah.
