From my experience (Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Carter) it just seemed like the Republicans had more respect for the military.

wondering how the rest of us lower down the food chain can charge the CinC with dereliction of duty and get him relieved of command under the UCMJ ? guess we have to get together as a PAC and advertise that plan, cuz who else besides voters are above him ?

SSgt Cynthia Hamilton - President Reagan was Not senile during his last two years of office. He might, however, have been suffering from Alzheimer's; this would explain the frequent recourse to "naps" as these would be Alzheimer fugues (attacks). To be clear, this is Not dementia. Suffering from Alzheimer's would be addressable in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

SSgt Cynthia Hamilton - Unfortunately, this proves you know nothing about either President Reagan, or about Alzheimer's. I recommend some...ahh never mind. Yours is already made up. Keep going; the rest of us will enjoy the laugh at your expense.

We got good pay raises from Republicans Ford and Reagan. Under Democrats we were lucky to get a cost of living raise that covered inflation. Case in point, Carter.

Knock it off you E-8s. It does nothing but make you both look bad. If you check the record, we received a BIG raise across the board when Carter was president.

GySgt Tim Shea - ...but not as big as inflation, not in any of the four years he was president.

CWO3 (Join to see) - It would be an interesting, and very useful, exercise if somebody could put this information (history of military pay increases) into a spreadsheet.

Eh. Bitterly complaining about everything is one of the finest traditions of military service. The only thing that ever changes is who they’re whining about

MSG Pedro Soto - I retired in 86 and I still don't put political stickers on my car or contribute very much money to political causes. But I vote in every election.

PO3 William Taylor - Bill, you need a certain amount of "point" in your influence score. Not exactly sure what the threshold is, but I think it's around 14k. Keep going! The more you post (comment, etc.) the more points you get. Be sure to get well above the threshold (whatever it is...I think the system tells you when you try to downvote) because anybody who downvotes you gives you negative points.
