No, it's a sore loser act. They are not upholding the Constitution so they need to all be removed from their position while forfeiting any pay and retirement. They are not acting on the behalf of their constituents. They are acting like children and need to be removed effective immediately.

Well if we get to stop paying politicians for not doing their job the Republicans would be in much bigger trouble.

The senator's term is 6 years. Congressmen is a 2 year term.

As long as we keep electing them we really have no one to blame but the voter.

When will everyone realize that a Government by the People, For the People has not existed for over 60 years now; congressmen and women and senators do not and have not given a crap about the American People that have voted them into office.

The majority in America does not rule the minority that screams and cries the loudest does.

AS Capt Porter says - as long as the American Public continues to elect the same people the voters are the ones to blame - however, when you have only two evils to choose from which one do you choose - hopefully the lessor of the two; but either way your still getting screwed.

Maybe it is time for ALL Senators and Congressmen and women to vacate their position of power!

Do you think that the Democrats staging a sit in, because their anti-gun bill didn't pass, is a sore loser act or justified?

Well on paper their protest is justified. What they are arguing is that the house should hold a vote on the bills they want. They know darn well that such a vote would be rejected.

Which is the rub of it, they (Democrats) want the ability to go and lie to voters during the election, they want to have Republicans vote against a bill that would deny a constitutional right to American Citizens with no due process who have not even been accused of a crime so they can tell voters that the Republicans voted "to put guns in the hands of terrorists" You already saw it happen after the Senate vote.

Their misinformation campaign is working too, they are getting more and more people convinced that "Assault Weapons" are bad and must be banned. American voters who don't know anything about guns are being inundated with misleading or false information.

you nailed it PO2 Aitchison. This is all about the November Elections and trying to find a wedge issue to best republicans on. The Democrats have regularly gotten hammered on the gun control issue at the ballot box, nationally, and now they think they have found their chance to turn the table on Republicans with this most recent "gun issue." They know damn well they don't have the votes to pass their bill and they are not willing to compromise to pass a bill that can find enough votes to pass.

But this is not about passing any sensible legislation that might prevent an actual terrorist from getting their hands on guns. Plus as we saw here in Kalifornia, in the San Bernardino Attack, terrorist would just use a straw purchaser or buy them their guns from street criminals, like the Paris terrorists who murdered over a hundred people in November at the Battaclan Theater bought their fully auto machine-gun Ak-47s from the French or Belgian Black market in guns (about USD $1K for a fully auto AK-47 today).

Interesting... when Ted Cruz stopped the constitutional process in its tracks the nation was suffering a crisis of untold magnitude. When the Demarcates shut down the constitutional process it is for the good of the people. This is becoming very perverted and very worrisome.

you left out the most likely one, a fund raising tactic

all the proposed bills were bad, Repub and Dem. All ignored due process tho the Repub ones did address that as an afterthought.

Like Sen Feinstein says, .." you can always prove you are innocent AFTER (being added to the list) and get taken off it..." Yeah no harm there at all

The "representatives" staging a sit in on the House floor are attempting to subvert Constitutional process with their civil disobedience. They claim they want a vote; they had FOUR and lost them all. Now they want to bully their unconstitutional bills into law. By rejecting the legitimacy of the constitutional process they have declared that they are violating their oaths of office. Therefore, they should be stripped of their offices and censured.

They also must be physically removed from the U,S. Capitol building. The last time Americans occupied a government building in this manner, they got a SWAT raid and prison terms.
We cannot allow those who make laws to violate the Constitution in order to enact them. If we allow this to continue, our democratic processes and our Constitution itself will be lost forever.
