Are LTs at ABOLC able to get their first duty station at an IBCT/SBCT?

I can't swear to what Armor Officer Assignments is doing today, but every BCT has at least some Armor platoon leader positions.
Although the TO&E authorizes a 1LT for the platoon leader slots, they have always been filled with 2LT's fresh out of ABOLC.

Light BDE's are losing all of their CAV units and are going organic infantry. All 19 series all be in the Armor Units.

CPT (Join to see) - I guess that makes sense (to someone somewhere). After all there is no reason why a light brigade would ever need reconnaissance or screening.
In a nutshell it's a supply and demand issue. The posts with greater demand for armor officers will pull you in.
