I am an NG soldier in DC, I have a certification in Counter Radio Electronic Warfare Systems, that i received while deployed in Afghanistan. Now that I am back stateside i would like to work in that field but I am unsure of how to do so exactly. What should i study? Are there any books? Any Internships? Any work study groups. I really would like some guidance, whatever guidance that can be applied, if possible. I was told that Cybersecurity is a great start, so now im Obtaining my associates in it, with this actually be helpful?

Look at LinkedIn for job postings and blog posts. If you go to school, avoid for-profit places and ensure that place is accredited. Make sure your security clearance is also still valid since that is also a prerequisite for some defense employers.

SPC(P) (Join to see) The Official Club/Organization of Practitioners of the Trade is the Old Crows Association and their Magazine is JED Journal of Electronic Defense. Check into both that may be of some assistance.

So what you need to do is do a google search on EW school or do a search on AKO. They have school info on how to join. It won’t be too hard to get accepted as a NG. Just have the right ASVAB scores. As far as study material...they will have information on in what to study. I would suggest start getting familiar with frequency bands such as VHF, UHF. Practice some basic math skills too because you will do some math. Antenna theory is also a good place to look too.
