The following was *supposedly* posted by a member of the United States Army. What do you think about his message?

I think the fact that the person is hiding their face says everything I need to know about them.

I doubt it's a real soldier, though.

Anyone can get a surplus uniform and make a statement. If you really want to say something get on your hind feet and stand for it.

He's only a SPC and has no idea what's going on, one of the reasons why he's posting this message in uniform! However when I was a PFC I had more brains than this guy! Just focus on your job regardless of where you are and do what you are told and don't worry where you are. That's what I did.

When you raise your right hand and say,

I, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

You're making a commitment to your country, regardless of if your fucking feelings are going to get hurt. Grow some balls/ovaries and make good on the oath you took.

And there it is right there. I agree, I gave that same oath, and still follow it today.

SSgt Terry P., I suspected that the Marines would have had some sort of a selection process; I don't believe they would take attitude cases or those that could not cut the higher physical standards.

Not just the Vietnam era but even here recently with the Covid-19 Vaccine. Kind of funny heard a lot of people on here advocating that it was against “some” rights to be told you had to get the vaccine and people that protest it shouldn’t be discharged. But turn around and this ….
Which I agree, IF this is a real soldier then get him out! But I’m not sure if this isn’t a hoax.

Capt Seid Waddell - I joined the Navy in October 1966 and when we were at the Induction Center in Oakland, Ca. they had us line up and counted us 1-4 and every 4 was a Marine, as they were losing a lot of Marines at that time. I know for sure that's how some were drafted into the Marines.

I joined the Air Force in Oct 1967. I remember watching them pull guys from the Army line and making them Marines at the Los Angeles induction center. The look on their faces was total shock. I wished them good luck.

If you will not fight, why are you in uniform? A solder does not hAve priviledge of accepting or rejecting deployment.
