I had more time than money, so 22 years later I have 3 degrees, a license to practice Physical Therapy, a career of helping people and no idea what to wear when I'm not in uniform or wearing a cargo pants/shorts, shorts and a t-shirt.

My civilian occupation didn't give Me that problem as to what to wear, as a Police Officer I was still in a uniform. The change was September 15th went from short Sleeves to long sleeves and a tie then on May 15th from long sleeves and a tie to short sleeves, No tie.

My time in the service made me who I am today. It taught me how to be confident in myself and how to be a leader. How to strive to always be better and fight for what I want.

I was able to attend college. I'm so proud of my time in the Navy!

I use to think too much and missed out on a lot of opportunities out of fear of failure. I still overthink shit here and there, but my fear of fucking up is little to none (...and its not that I'm taking random, uncalulated unnecessary risk) because I try harder and I care more about the shit I do (even the small things). I'm way more open to trying new shit that comes across me and I speak my mind a lot more.

Most of it is on the inside.

I actually feel like it was a mistake for me to seperate at sixteen years. I should have stayed for another 14 or so. I miss it.

I maybe a disabled vet, but I understand more the pride my uncle's felt about their service, the love I feel for my time in, and just wish that my BLANK CHECK wasn't filled out so fast

I wouldn't have had the discipline to get a Bachelor's degree without my time in the Air Force. I enjoyed every minute, and only wish I hadn't been medically discharged and could have retired.
