Rallypoint Members that have responded so far. I'm going to wait until I get as many responses as possible and then I will post on this same discussion some locations and possible dates for a ride and rally (most likely the August timeframe) because it's warmer and kids are still out of school (in some places); and the 75th Strugis Anniversary is over. My bike is at Garwood Customs right now...this is what she looked like a week ago (left pic)......in five weeks she's going to look VERY close to the second bike. Won't be able to ride that far. Meeting up still sounds nice though.

August would work...Carolina, Virginia or even further North on the right side of the map. I'm new at it, so it would be my first long ride. Would love to meet the RP crowd!

Since I am blessed in living my final years of life in Big Sky Country: Montana. The ride you will enjoy more then any other is the Beartooth Highway. It heads out of Red Lodge, Montana towards the Northeast Gate of Yellowstone National Park just west of Cooke City, Montana. It is worth the drive. Here are a couple of leads about the road:

Great idea! Of course it will depend on the 4 W"s. Where, when, wife, and work! Not sure I'll be able to get that much time off from work. Would this be limited to only Rally Point members? I have Veteran friends in the Patriot Guard Riders who are retired and might be interested.

Can I come on a moped?

I could try, but honestly have 2 vacations planned this year. The first starts next week, doing this vacation all on the bike, starting in Paso Robles, CA, going to Los Angeles for 3 days, Dodger Game, El Cids in Hollywood for Spanish Paella and Flaminco Dancing show, sight see the beaches etc; then its off to Las Vegas for 3 days, Staying in New York, New York on the strip, riding with Army friends to places like Mt. Charleston, Red Rock and Canyons of the Fire, catch a couple of Vegas shows and buffets; then were ending in West World of Scottsdale for the 2016 Arizona Bike Week for 5 days of pure motorcycle rally fun and concerts. Later in August, planning on going back to Sturgis, this time we are staying there for 8 days. Then my last week of vacation will be in October, doing a week at Camp Pendleton's San Onofre Beach Resort, where we are also having my Moms 70th Birthday Party. I'm also planning on joining a number of Army Rangers from Fort Lewis, WA who plan on attending the Rolling Thunder West (motorcycle event) in Riverside, CA. I will link up with them somewhere south of San Francisco and ride with them to Riverside on Memorial Day Weekend. Hopefully we will see you there Colonel Burroughs.
