ahhh-the grunt's dream for sloshing through mud puddles. Two stick steering and devastating with a Vulcan mounted.

Yes. 9th ID "fast attack" was around the first couple years I was in the infantry. Here is my personal favorite. An M242 Bushmaster off of a Bradley and put on a HUMMV. Yeah buddy!

I was a squad leader of 4 of these and have driven and gunned and used the M60 mg from the rear spot. Also was in CSC 1st 13th Armor in Illesheim West Germany.

M113s. The only thing that I can think of that was a bigger Molotov cocktail was the old Marine Amtracs.

That's actually not a M113. Look at the rear "ramp". Its round and opens to the side. Not square and drop down like a ramp. Plus its too short and only has 4 road wheels instead of 5.
That is a M114, similar to an FMC T113 proposal vehicle.

I had one of these while I was in from 2005-2009, except it was an M981 FISTV ( top had a control module that had a GLLVD to allow for target location in call for fire missions)

I think we left a whole bunch of these to rust in the bush when we bugged out.

There are a few in museums. There is a Vietnamese fellow selling scale models -

Photo Caption: 2nd ACR M1114A2 on trail at GTA. The 20mm cannon is clearly visible. A good idea badly executed, the M114's were underpowered, offered poor cross country mobility and when fully loaded, could only carry a commander, driver and observer.
