How will you and your family be affected as a veteran if the Government has no Backup Plan if the Court Rules Against Obamacare.

Interesting article and I would like to see how this will affect some of our RP Members.

The system has already failed before it began, how is obummercare going to help the majority when so many are exempt (Congress, The House, Senate, Muslims & even Barry & his family). Even if you made it mandatory for all, the system is to poorly designed to help anyone the right way. The only good thing about this plan is you can keep your kids on until a later age.

My wife and I are well taken care of with my insurance that I carried into retirement from my employer and my medicare. My wife also has CHAMPVA which picks up the deductibles from my insurance I carried into retirement.

I am more concerned about my youngest daughter and my three grandchildren. They would be impacted by the repeal of the Affordable Care Act.

Sgt Jay Jones I have the same issue. I'm taken care of, but I have three daughters that could all be affected by this ruling. We need to find a better way to reduce heathcare spending!

COL Mikel Burroughs I know some people literally hate the Affordable Care Act known as Obamacare. I think this is primarily due to the fact that some far right wing individuals/groups dislike our current Commander-In-Chief. My question is if it was done under a different President, would the outrage be as strong, but that's another discussion.

There are some truly good things about the Affordable Care Act, like elimination of the "pre-exiting" clause that kept many from be able to not only get affordable health insurance, but health insurance at all. Also, the fact that parents can carry their children (or young adult children) until they are 26. This is great, because a lot of young adults are still trying to find themselves between 21-25, especially on their career.

So, yes, I do support the Affordable Care Act. If it is upheld, I believe it will become one of President Obama's legacies.

What really troubles me, is for the last six years the Republican party has tried over and over again to repeal the law. They have had six years to come up with an alternative and have done absolutely nothing to present us with an option that would give us a choice.

Sgt Jay Jones , any time they say "We have to pass it before we can know what's in it.", something is terribly wrong with it and it will hurt people one way or another.

No impact. VA is considered ACA compliant and with the exception of out-of-pocket healthcare expenses I pay, majority of care is provided by VA.

The only effect we will see is the backlash of "pen using" that will result if it happens.

Me, I'm moving my family back to the Philippines and enjoy the time left. For the price I would pay for Obamacare, I can see a Dr. 2 or 3 times a day every day.

Will not be at all. TriCare (which is an entitlement) and VA. Greatest coverage possible. Then Medicare kicks in just around the corner.

TriCare already released statement saying that they would still be meeting minimum requirements.....so if you retired, AD, Guard/Reserve (on Orders) you should be good.
