I am being told to go to PT by the command on only 4-5 hours of sleep. As a junior enlisted, how do I solve this problem?

We have a new 1SG and new commander. The 1SG noticed one day that only 5 people in the whole company showed up to PT. Now he put out to all the platoon Sergeants that everyone must show up to PT at either the 0530 formation or the 1600 formation.
However, my section is the only one in the hospital that has a 1600-0000 shift. I am being told by my first line that the 1SG says that I have to be at the morning formation, no exceptions.
I don’t want to sound like I’m whining but at the same time it’s unfortunate that I have to explain to myself as to why this isn’t right.
As a junior enlisted I do feel stuck.
How do I bring this issue up and solve this effectively and professionally?
Also: Do you know of any Army Regulations that can support anything?

Just go to PT. 4-5 hours of sleep. Are you going to ask the enemy to wait until you
have a nap? Don't think so.,

This is where you show you've got what it takes. You go to PT and do your best. You have time to sleep before and all day until 1400 or so. If it really bothers you, you have an option to recommend to 1SG that you lead a separate PT session at a time better for "weird shift-ers". Been medical all my life, since E-1. You show 'em you got this, and you earn respect; but if you show 'em you can't handle this, you don't belong. You own the choice!

I'll respect the Sailor who brings up the problem over the one who just sheepishly goes "ok." I'll wonder what other problems he's hiding. And I'll fire the LPO who doesn't even try to fight for his Sailor.
There's a time and place to just "suck it up" (which is about 80% of the circumstances), but there's no need to ask people to needlessly deal with shitty situations because nobody even tried to do right by them.

PT, Work day, CQ, Work Day and then go home just to be back the next morning. Worked all those shifts at WRAMC and made it work. What sucks is when you live 20 or more miles away and have to come back for PT after working a late shift. You can do it and will be better for it in the long run. Just embrace the suck and drive on.

U DO NOT bring this up. UR in the Military if u want a civilian job that is going to bend to ur will start ur own business. Then u will find out that having a business is even rougher. When I was in the Army I went to bed at midnight and got up at 430-5am 6 days a week. Did my military job then coached different sports with kids 12 months out of the year. And because I was a pretty good athlete (National and All Army level in some) I trained on my own lifting and running 6 days a week year round also.. So what I see is a person that is a whiner.
Plus ur in the military u have to be ready to go to war and if ur going to try to get things ur way when not at war i know exactly where i would put u in war, as point man in anything that put u in the field among the enemy. The most dangerous position. Why have people that took their OATH seriously go to the front 1st when we have someone like u that is not thinking team and wants a different contract than everyone else. War does NOT care if u get one hours sleep, u going to tell the enemy hold up man i need another 12 hours sleep and then we can go at it!
When I was in after my 1st year I got put in jobs that were for three ranks above me. And put in positions in the barracks where I was in charge of people that out ranked me by two ranks. One time a damned sgt or ssgt. didn't do his job and none of his people did what they were supposed to do so this idiot thought he could just take my men, and had the gall to think he could do so without even talking to me and me giving him the men or making HIM do all of the work cause he failed to do his job to start with.
I had one guy of mine come to me about it right away and the idiot that didn't do his job and I went round and round for five min. I finally gave him 1 guy and told my guy that the next time his name came up for this he got to take one time off of it and I would cover for him. Then I went to the NCO that put me in the position and told him what happened and he got in the middle of that other idiot. Then that idiot decided to come tell me that I could have gotten in trouble cause he outranked me but that he respected what I did. I told him when I was put in that position i was the same rank, all of those that were put in charge of people were the same rank just for that position otherwise those with higher rank would run rough shod over those they out ranked.
If ur going forward with wanted to get ur own way in this then do not look to get promoted, look to pull every extra duty, and rightly so. NO MATTER WHAT the people u serve with have to know they can count on u. And u whining about this means u think ur better than they are and ur not and that they cannot trust u to do ur job which is 1st to be a soldier and 2nd have a military MOS that u do. U gong to cry about it in war then look not to have people want to be a part of ANY group ur in and maybe even so far and friendly fire in a legit fire fight.
I grew up in a military home. My dad fought in two wars which means that in one if he got killed I would not b here and in the other that my dad would not have come home to his wife and three boys in grade school. And we were bullied when people found out that we were military.
I have NO time for people like u in the military or in civilian life cause u think others should serve u cause ur so special. Ur not. U should look into history, want to see someone that was Special look to Audey Murphy and work to be more like him. OR ANYONE that served in WWII. Try doing this crap with Patton and he would have ridden ur rear end like there was no tomorrow and tell u that u have no more rights then the others and U signed the SAME paperwork and Volunteered to raise UR RIGHT HAND and Took an oath like the rest of them did.
I remember a few years back some soldiers sister was against the war going on and the demoncRATS tried using her when her brother got killed in combat. She made the statement that her brother did not sign up to get killed. Well that is exactly what U Did when U made it through all of the processes to allow U to even take the oath, which qualified u to go to basic and when u passed basic to go to AIT which then allowed to to get assigned to a certain place and fill a job. What do u think the DI in basic would have said if u came to him? Exactly what everyone should now. U get extra duty immediately after u get off work and u will do it right or u will get to keep doing it until it is military right.
U want to make things harder on ur self go forward with this and see how hard they come back at u. And see how much extra stuff they will make u do. U R PATHETIC!!!! I WOULD NOT want to have u on the same base as me.

Regulations only require that you are provided with 4 hours of sleep every 24hr period and these 4 hours need not be consecutive. Sounds like you may need to either toughen up or start looking into a career change when your contract comes to an end.

first and foremost you obey your leader first.after when you have time off put a request to your Squad leader or platoon sgt. wait for reply if you dont agree let him or her know politely what your concerns are.if he or she cant give you I formation that you can agree on then before you take it further ask your other friends(fellow)squad members then make your decision based on that. but following proper chain of command. good luck .
