MLC is a very demanding, challenging course. It is 15 days of none stop classes with no day off. I do not recommend taking the DL course because it’ll be more confusing (info I got from my battle that did the DL). The writing portion is all APA style. The course prepares you for all the writing/papers you’ll have to do at the SGM Academy. If you provide me your email address I will send you all of my notes. Although it was a hard course, it is also rewarding because I learned a lot and I know I definitely earned my 1059 without a doubt. I hope this helps... My email is [login to see]

The most difficult part of the course is writing a huge amount of paperwork. I would recommend you find a writer who can help you with writing. Or you can buy essays online for college. I recommend to you service https://paperial.com/buy-college-essays-online This is very convenient if you can not personally talk to the writer or you do not have his contacts. You will be helped to write any assignment.

I hope this is a joke.
Buying papers for any course is completely wrong and anyone who does so needs to question their academic integrity. I promise someone, be it a subordinate, peer, or a superior, or perhaps officer counterpart would be willing to help any one of us write our own papers with our own words and thoughts.
The fact that this post has upvotes is shameful.

The course is very demanding. I finished last month and spent and average of 3 hours a night studying and working on assignments. Everything in this course is writing and they follow the APA format. I would just say practice writing and have some one read it to see if it flows and makes since. Formatting and grammar is something you can brush up on. The course is all about time management and once I got a hang of how often an evaluation would happen I was fine.

There's a group page for this course. Check out some of the other discussions about it and try reaching out to some of the people who've already been. They might provide some personal insight.

Google the Purdue Owl, it has almost everything you need to know about college writing styles. Although ask your facilitator for an example of how to vote army regulation because they dinged me hard for using the owl format. Major topics taught in MLC are the Joint Planning Process, mission command, and MDMP. You will have 2 group projects, 2 essays, 2 power point presentations, and 3 short answers exams. Only 1 paper and two short answer exams go to your actual GPA. I did the non-resident course, I do not recommend it.

SFC (Join to see) I would rather do the 17 day resident course because the DL course still uses the experiential learning model. This model requires discussion between participants with a SME to guide the discussion that is not present during the DL class. The discussion board questions and required responses are not enough to elicit a conversation for someone without prior experience of the subject to learn anything.
Another reason is the length of the course, I'd rather knock out a 17 day POI than a 6 week POI.
Also the distance class made group projects frustrating dealing with timezones. Our group had people across the US, Germany, and Hawaii. Sometimes written communication is not the best method to use and it was hard to call people if needed during waking hours.

One of the best ways to improve your writing is to read more. Even better, as ridiculous as it will be, read out loud. You’ll notice the difference between written and spoken language. (Especially by professional writers).

I’m guessing MLC will be heavy on MFRs and briefings, so it wouldn’t be a bad idea to pour through examples of poorly vs. well written MFRs. Briefing skills should also be aligned with written skills. More soldiers get removed from positions that require giving regular briefs because they can’t speak in a fluid, written (yet conversational, seemingly unscripted) manner.

Additionally, the economy of words is important. Don’t use twenty words when eight will get your point across clearly. Everyone’s time is important, and unnecessary words jumble the point and can have the tendency to make things a little less clear, or ambiguous, than they really need to be. (See what I mean? It was clear what I meant after the first sentence; second sentence was choppy, and it wasn’t necessary. Economy of words).

Best of luck.

I am currently attending MLC. I can tell you that it is alot of work. They provide you with all the resources you need. You will need to navigate the blackboard and stay on pace with assignments. You read everything and it is basically peer led. Lots of good info to pick up for the ole tool bag. You will be fine, like I said though, it is ALOT of work, reading and writing!

Study APA. I am currently in week two of the course at the resident phase. Another thing you will do is called DEEP. Define, explain, elaborate present example is what that stands for. Take all your notes in the DEeP format and you will pass just fine. Not to many people fail the resident course, the online course is difficult since you have to juggle it and work.

Check out the 5 sentence paragraph and the 5 paragraph essay. You don't have to use only 5 paragraphs but use the example as a guide.

Don't procrastinate. Use an outline to create your paper. Get smart on APA formatting. Read every ADP and ADRP before you get there. Make time to have someone proofread your papers before you turn them in. Good luck.

Your question should be a sentence and a question. "Thats" should be that is, or that's. Take a community college English course.

I wrote as my primary duty for 4 years. Here’s some ways to improve or develop your writing skills.
-Read good writing. Classic American authors were successful in part because they wrote well. Read some Mark Twain, Steinberg, Hemingway, and more current authors such as John Grisham and Ralph Peters
-take an effective writing course on line
-find a copy of an Air Force Or Army publication on effective writing for reference
-use grammar editor on word processing software and pay attention to the recommended changes and the reason for the change
-practice. One reason to keep a daily journal is practicing writing

When writing your first consideration is your audience. Who are you writing for? Everything flows from knowing who your audience is.
