Only a Recruiter can give you a definitive answer. You will need a Waiver just for having an RE-3. However, waivers for RE-3 related/associated/linked to behavioral health are rarely ever granted. But, again, see a Recruiter for a definitive answer.

I re-enlisted from the air force into the army with the same RE code. It took me a year and a half and a lot of work to successfully enlist. Prepare yourself for a long road ahead. You need a very well written letter from a psychologist that's the only way you even stand a chance.

Back in the day I had a squad leader (great guy, SSG at the time) with a Court Martial under his belt. He never said exactly what for and we never pushed. Obviously, there was no discharge involved and he was well on track to being a lifer. Clearly, these are different days, but I suppose anything is possible if you persevere! Don't despair and, as everyone else is saying, find the right recruiter.

greets to you .. i was in a similar situation , in 1985 to 1986 ets'd in '85 then guard from '86-'92 .. when i left active duty was given an re code 3 also due to two a.w.o.l.'s .. however i was able to enter the national guard with two waivers and very good outstanding character references.
