PO1 John Miller - PO; My view of the spectrum is that, if you divide the world's political spectrum into seven general categories "Far Left", "Left", "Center Left", "Center", "Center Right". "Right", and "Far Right" then divide each of those categories into " - ", "neutral", and "+" so that your scale now runs from "Far Left -" [equaling 1] to "Far Right +" [equaling 21]
the Democrats probably come in around "14" to "15" ("Center Right") and
the Republicans probably come in around "16" to "17" ("Right") with
the T.E.A. Party probably coming in around "17" to "18" ("Right" [but a bit more so]) and
the "Libertarians" probably coming in around "12" to "13" (on the "Center" - "Center Right" border).
The vast majority of world politics is probably in the "7" ("Center Left") to "15" ("Center Right) range.

COL Ted Mc so I'm center right in other words. Yeah, that's pretty much what all those political quizzes tell me.

PO1 John Miller - PO; "12" would be on the "Rightside of Center" and "13" would be on the "Leftside of Center Right".
Call it "Conservative Mainstream" and you aren't going to be too far off the mark.

I am also against fracking. It is my personal opinion that our countries focus should be in preserving what natural habitats are left and to stop selling off land to corporations to make a profit from. I feel we need to replace trees removed and build back up our forests. I believe hemp should be made legal because of all the products the plant can produce. I am against hunting for sport. I believe that if we take care of nature instead of taking it for granted we will be preserving the future for generations to come. Our time is over and we must lay a path for future generations. I was raised christian and spent time with the Native America. As a christian we are raised with the knowledge that god gave us the earth and we are its masters. This belief is what allows us to ignore the needs of our home because we feel its our right to take from it as we wish. Yet in the end we are the caretakers of earth, and it was given to us on loan by the creator. I can tell you this if I rented a home to some one and they gutted it for personal gain I would be a little pissed. Well as humans we are gutting the home god gave us. At what cost is destroying the future home for future generations is anything worth? At what point will we need to be at before we a humans wake up to the fact that we are killing the earth faster than it can fix itself? When will we figure out that money is not more valuable than survival? So looking at what keystone is saying do we agree with the economic boost it may or may not give temporarily to this generation or two? Or do we weigh in on possible future damage to the earth that will be felt for generations? Their is nothing worth more than the safety and survival of my future generations. My children and generations to come deserve a home that is not a hollow shell of what it used to be. We are much more advanced scientifically then generations ago. We can make car engines that run on water, obtain energy from the sun and wind. Yet we continue to poison our earth because people with money control our government. We the people listen to what is being said. Yet our new generation see the damage of what is being done to the earth and are asking that we stop. Yet those of older generations deny the requests. Then deny scientific proof of the long term effect of damage being done. So yes I support the native Americans request to honor the earth and not poison it. Call it what you will. But this is were I stand on the keystone, and that is it should not be allowed to be built.

SGT Nathan Huff, it is clear that you have looked into your beliefs and hold them sincerely. I see it quite differently; we will just have to agree to disagree.
Thanks for your input.

First and foremost, I'd bring all our men and women home from places where the locals don't want them, ie okinawa, the middle east. Let those places fend for themselves. Next, I'd increase NASA spending on the order of 10 times or so.
Edit: Actually, come to think of it, I'd dump the F-35 program and give all that money to NASA.

1. Create a US Infrastructure Act to create jobs within the US, employing only US Citizens to better our Transportation, Electrical, and Communication Systems!
2. Cut Social Service Spending, Welfare limited to 12 months for every ten years of Taxable previous years worked. After 12 months, Civil Service work camps to help with bullet 1. above.
3. Cut DoD Spending, Bring all Troops Conus. IF you want US Soldiers on your soil for threat protection, you will pay for it. Build a larger Special Operations Command, smaller AD and get rid of the IRR, ING, and the OCONUS deploying NG. The NG, Border Patrol and Homeland defense serve the same mission.
4. 4 yr max politician term limits. NO elected government official shall be in office for more than 4 consecutive years and no more than 12 years total service.
5. Fix the VA... NO EXCUSES!
6. Consolidate the "many" branches of the Armed Forces into two branches, Water and Ground under one command structure "US ARMED FORCES".
7. Toughen BOOT CAMP, its not a Camp...it should be HELL! Every 18yr old male should have to attend a 3 month training, just in case WWIII. They need to know how to protect themselves, their family and citizens of the USA!
8. Cut Foreign Spending until and unless the USA has a balanced budget and NO national debt.
9. Support NATO and mind our own business as a country. Let NATO do its job and only get involved if asked by NATO!
10. I could go on and on...

CH (MAJ) William Beaver, Chaplain I would do my damnedest to stop giving money to every country except our own. We give money to countries like Pakistan and what do we get in return? How about we start re-investing in our infrastructure.

Hard to say, it really depends on what the current issues are at the time.
-I think for starters I would make it mandatory that both woman and men to serve a minimum two years in the military.
-All immigrants to also serve at least two years to gain residency.
-Make it a federal law that all hospitals honor VA medical during emergency and or life threatening situations.
-Require all state funding to be used in priority of all areas including law enforcement, medical and public schools first and ranches. Anything left would be disbursed in thats states individual needs.
-Administer the death penalty to anyone involved in sex trafficking of infants, toddlers and small children.
-Make healthy food affordable again and junk food less financially accessible
-Reform welfare to be used no longer then 12 months and and in a cycle to be reused again after 5 or 10 years.
-Presidentially pardon all US citizens who were arrested and convicted due to civilian and illegal immigrants using their identity to commit criminal acts. Pending proper federal investigations of course.
And that's all I can think of right now that I would do.

Most likely? Not much. I'm certain I would TRY to accomplish a lot, but with partisan politics the way it is, I imagine most of my time would be spent facepalming and shaking my head...
