Looking for other resources to look up fellow veterans. Does anyone have any information?

I join PO1 William "Chip" Nagel and LTC Stephen C. in recommending Together We Served. FaceBook can also be useful for contacting veterans who served with specific units or went to specific schools. On faceBook I am connected with many members of the 1/52 Infantry Regiment and USMA, West Point where I went to school.
LinkedIn can be useful if you are looking for specific people. It tends to be more secure than FaceBook and allows you to message people directly after you connect to them.

Lot of forums just like this, "Together We Served" is another one. There are pages on FB, Twitter, Google + and Pinterest dedicated to Veterans. Look Around. I run several Pages on FB for Liberal Veterans.

SSgt Kenneth Elliott I'm not sure what you're looking for. There are a ton of military and veteran forums on Facebook and Linkedin if you're not feeling like you're connecting enough here...

It's not that I am not connecting enough with other vets on this site. I'm trying to help a friend locate his birth father. I've tried a search on here with negative results.

I understand exactly what you mean. Me personally, I have been trying for a couple years, on and off, to find anyone from my unit in the 80s. I've had no luck whats so ever. I am presently going to try Military.com again. I mean, I Can't Possibly be the Only One from 423rd Med Co. to be signed up on military sites. It's crazy hard. I will come back if I find a really good site. : D

Thanks everybody for the help. I will be sure to check out these sites. As I told Commander Matlow, I'm trying to help a friend locate his birth father. I knew this place was a viable option but had zero luck. So hopefully with these other sites you all have suggested I might be able to help him out. Thanks again everybody!
