Our incoming CinC condoned behavior that's in conflict with SAPR. SHARP professionals, how should we address or respond to troops with this?

The same why it was done when JFK, Clinton, and other Presidents had female visitors over to the Oval Office for late night "State of the Union" rehearsals.

As I've stated elsewhere in this discussion, JFK and Clinton's adultery appear to have been consensual. A critical difference with Trump's remarks is consent.

One thing to remember when You are in the public eye any off color or offensive remark You make will usually come back to bite You. Move on, keep that in mind and don't repeat the mistake if You expect to recover from it. You have to be very careful what You say and do when You are a public official and that does not mean not standing up for the issues You truly believe in and standing by those !

I would go about this by explaining this happened 11 years ago. Now it is not right and it should have never happened. But, our incoming CinC may be a completely changed and different person by now. So, we do not need to jump to conclusions. He apologized and we need to make it imperative that we continue on the path to stopping this action and problem that is happening in our services.

Remind the troops that the President was never in the military and, therefore, is not to be held to a higher standard. As military professionals we always hold ourselves and each other to a higher standard regardless of what is considered acceptable by society as a whole.

Honestly ask them if they have millions of dollars to throw at a rape charge. Its been made painfully clear that if you have money there is a separate legal system for you than if you're just a regular guy. If they have millions of dollars Id start out-processing them from the military cuz you cant tell those guys nothing and tell them to do whatever they want.

I assume you are referring the recording (hot mike) comments made by Trump. I paid it zero attention, was released only to cause embarrassment of the candidate not to further any agenda other that to support Hillary Clintons bid for the election. Semper Fi.

I have no doubt it was strategically released to deter his campaign. However, that doesn't somehow mean it didn't happen.

Ignore it. Just like we had to do when President Clinton was the CINC. Is this really an issue that you are struggling with, or are you just stirring the pot for sport?

I think some critical differences between Clinton and Trump are that Clinton committed adultery, which is impermissible but consensual. Also, we have no record of Clinton verbally condoning the behavior which Trump did. The problem with such arguments is that they err on the side of "two wrongs make a right". Frankly, I wouldn't ask such a question if we didn't have the SAPRO and SHARP programs. If HRC were elected, I'd ask the same questions regarding our annual OPSEC related briefings.
