Absolutely tragic. Immensely unnecessary. My prayers to his family.

Road rage is a problem wherever it crops up. I don't know that it is any more prevalent than before.

Capt Seid Waddell, maybe it's because it's being in the news more now, but there have been some shootings also.

Road rage against riders, what could this rider have done to mitigate the risk?

Unfortunately, we as riders must be extra vigilant against idiots.

I, myself, had been purposely ran off into the shoulder. I kept my cool and reacted in a way that kept me on my bike and alive.

It's about how we react to drivers.

I wasn't able to read the article but I saw this video a few days ago.

I will say this.............Until recently I was an avid motorcyclist! I only stopped because the sport bikes hurt my back. I will be upgrading to a cruiser in the near future. As a biker, I have run across the gambit! Most "cagers" (car drivers) don't really respect us. Now, I will say that there are a few knuckleheads on 2s and those few ruin it for us responsible riders. I'm not saying I haven't pushed the limit a time or two but not like some of these crazy kids! I have had cars cut me off, I've had cars pull up so close to me at a red light that a person couldn't walk in between, I've had people follow so close to me that there is less than 1 second of reaction time and I can keep going. I have even had a truck run me off the road.

My point is that it is more benefitial for bikers to ride aggressive. Now saying that doesn't mean I condone the knuckleheads of the world. When I ride in the city, I do it at high RPMs so everyone knows a bike is somewhere and I try my hardest to stay out of blindspots! There is an art to riding safely and many people aren't taught that art!

SFC (Join to see) If you like the supersport bike performance style, but need a upright seating position there are lots of choices that keep that type of performance but have upright seating. Speed triple R, z1000, cbr1000' street triple, Ect, Ect.Nothing wrong with a cruiser if that's what your looking for, but just saying there Are options to keep the sport style and still ride with a upright back saving position.

I had to adapt my sport bike to a upright seating position or change bikes... I chose to build it to my needs....yes it helps that is what I do for a living.. But factory options abound as well.

I have a BMW 2007 K1200GT and love it. It is sporty, but I sit upright, it has storage, and is very comfortable for longer trips. You may want to consider a sport touring bike. I also have a Harley Fat Boy and it is a blast. But, the Harley is a completely different experience. You may find that the lack of performance a little frustrating with a cruiser. I got mine used, one way to enjoy both worlds.

He didn't have to be a member of the military for this to be tragic, it just makes it more so.

One word. WOW!!
Or maybe two, Unbelievable.
I just don't understand these road rage incidents. How could you get that MAD or IRATE that you would kill a human being? It is becoming a problem. This has happened WAY TO MUCH!

Tragic for both of the FAMALIES Involved. Not the Road Rager.
