I'm not into politics, when I did vote, I voted for the man not the party. In this case, we are divided to the point of breaking. To be honest I can't stand Donald Trump or Joe Boden. In my personal opinion, Rally Point RP) is not the proper platform to discuss politics. According to Rally Point itself (About Us, 2023), "Rally Pointis the premiere digital platform for the military community to come together and discuss military topics both socially and professionally."
There is so much valuable experience in the military community that can be shared, comments, questions, and discussions should focus on military subjects. Regardless of who is the President of the United States POTUS), the military has a mission to execute. After all, POTUS is the Commander in Chief of our armed forces and deserves the respect and support of all military personnel.
If a military member chooses to discuss politics on social media, there are guidelines which must be followed. Discussing politics on social media could lead to unintended violations of directives and regulations. Even though our 1st Amendment allows freedom of speech, members of the US military are limited to what they can discuss on a social media platforms.
Yes, it is understood that there are retired military and civilian personnel that participate in the RP forum. Having a variety of of participants could further lead to inappropriate and unlawful remarks in the forum between participants.

I live in Texas, but I haven't heard of Abbott running for higher office, and before the election DeSantis claimed he was thinking only about being reelected as Governor (if you believe that, I have a bridge I want to sell you). I don't know if the GOP is pressuring DeSantis or if he is putting out feelers, but I agree that they would be tough for the Democrats to beat. The question is would Abbott be willing to accept the VP nomination?

Choose your poison, they're both old (though one is much less cognitively capable), they both had issues with holding classified information in an insecure manner, they're both ethically challenged, etc., etc. I didn't vote for Trump in either 2016 or 2020 - I didn't vote top of the ticket in either election because both candidates sucked. But I will probably vote for him this time simply because by almost any objective measure we were better off under Trump than we have been with the Biden administration. If RFK Jr. has a legitimate shot, I'll vote for him. I'd love to see Tulsi Gabbard on an independent ticket but I know she won't right now.
