No, for at least 3 reasons. 1. Security threat. 2. The format does not allow a real discussion of complex concepts or policy approaches. 3. It's too easy to spout off...which he will...which will harm his reputation, and therefore harm the nation.

Sensitive information is not released on social media or the public side of .gov so there is no security threat. The details can be posted on .gov sites.

I think the biggest problem may be controlling what not to say that could be offensive and draw the line between what is and isn't proper to say. Its fine to express a point but know when to end the statement before putting a foot in His mouth. I'm not talking about being politically Correct, there is too much of that but a little diplomacy wouldn't hurt.

MSG Mitch Dowler - I think you mean sensitive information is not SUPPOSED to be released on social media. It happens all the time; and Trump's tweeting up to this point has not shown the degree of self-control to indicate he wouldn't make a mistake with sensitive info in the future.

We know factually that Hillary Clinton is incompetent with all forms of media and national security matters but Trump is no stranger to social media and has successfully maintained non-disclosure agreements involving billions of dollars of investment transactions. It is not impossible for anyone to screw up but we do know that the mainstream media is not capable of accurately conveying a message.

He probably shouldn't but it can be entertaining and quite frankly makes for a very transparent administration. Which we ALL want.

I think that he need to grow up He not a Kid and need to act like someone that is grown up but him being that he will never grow up I am really scared what's going to happen to this country in the next 4 years. I don't know what people see in him all the time he was campaigning he was lying his ass off and bad mouth people and and yes he good good friends with Russia so my god please help me my PTSD might kick in.

Using Twitter and you tube allow him to speak directly to the people without the perversion of the message by the liberal media.

He is still a citizen with 1st amendment rights and as such if he chooses to use that Twitter account that is his choice.

I would agree with that point, just hope He at some point though learns when making points where to cut off the comments and not put His foot in His mouth. Some diplomacy may be in order by saying the same things but a change in the approach. A diplomat is someone that can tell You to go to H--- and You look forward to the trip.

He has used it as a tool. No different than when TV first came out. The fact is more people are informed by Twitter than the news.

It should be taken away. Someone needs to convey to the President elect that his voice is now the sounding board. He might have elected for being brass and unapologetic, but now as the President everything he says in regards to everything can exacerbate the situation

I don't know about taking it away but Your points on the potential damage it can cause are valid.

SGM It might be entertaining to you but the president elect needs to focus on the country like our country and quit screwing around with Russia and quit being their friends there a lot more do when it come to being president than playing on some cell phone and that's all I can say. I just am not liking the idea of him or Clinton being in the white house!!!!!

I can agree with not being entirely happy with either of the candidates. i think we have to wait and see before we pass judgement on the incoming administration. We dont always get to pick the president of our choice, but we rally behind them for the common good. I don't think there is anything wrong with a little levity along the way. Hopefully, he will surround himself with smart enough people that can bring some smart decisions that we can all benefit from.

No, Not at All. His Tirades on Twitter have done more Harm to the Social Harmony of this Country than any weapon ever conceived. He has the Social Sensitivity of a Bull in a China Shop and his Staff taking away his Twitter Privileges is a Wise Decision.

OBH could have been a champion of social relations. What has he done to improve things? Utterly a disappointment.
